“Diaries of the Prosecution” examines the trials, tribulations, and accountability of southern district attorneys in large cities and small towns. How they represent sharply divided constituencies. How they cope with understaffed and underfunded offices and struggle with how to improve the system and still get re-elected. How they grapple with racial attitudes that have changed dramatically and, at the same time, have remained fixed in the past. “Diaries” is from an award-winning filmmaking team with a track record of PBS distribution, digital streaming, and limited theatrical releases. It is seeking ITVS funding and an educational outreach campaign focused on law schools nationwide.
